The history of Bassix - Page 4

Here is a nostalgic look at the previous models from BASSIX.......

BASSIX Mini Bass

The Mini Bass

A 3/4 scale electro/acoustic double bass of lesser proportions than a standard 3/4 size instrument.

The reduced size greatly improves portability and weighs in at only 9 kg (20lbs). The padded Cordura gig bag has rucksack style back straps and conventional handles at a little over 5ft (160cm) long. This really is a go anywhere, proper electric double bass!

Finished in high gloss varnish & metallic gold front, this is the bass to be seen with. Powerful Bassix dynamic fingerboard sensors and bridge fitted piezos feed through a pre amp EQ & blender to provide a real acoustic sound at any amplified volume without the nuisance of feedback.

The Hi-Tech RC

The Hi-Tech RC eub

The Hi-Tech RC - developed for ultimate portability and retains correct reference points for playing either seated or standing, arco or pizzicato. Powerful dynamic sensors supply the signal (plus optional bridge mounted piezos) to the on board pre amp EQ (active electrics).

The action is set up to suit most styles including Jazz. A range of options take the bass to a highly sophisticated, dual sensing, fully active instrument able to deliver amazing power and precision.

For travelling the lightweight fibreglass side moulding is simply removed and stowed with the bass in the protective case!

The Hi-Tech Interchangeable

All based around the 'Spine' principal, developed and produced in various specifications over the years. All models have adjustable bridges, the 'new generation' fully screened bridge foot piezos, optional scroll and Presto nylon wound strings.
