"Dear Alan,
I have finally played my new Bass at a gig and I can honestly say it was a great experience.
The sound is fantastic. It mirrored my amplified acoustic Bass perfectly. In fact, the tone was better. I often swap between Bass and Bass Guitar, for certain numbers, but the action, and the versatility of the EQ, made it possible to stay on the Bass almost all night.
We're a large band (there's 14 of us) so space is a bit limited but I was able to stand right in front of the amp. without a hint of feedback.
People in the audience commented on the clarity of the Bass sound and even the Brass section were full of compliments, and that's a first!
On a practical note, I was able to load the Bass into the car without any effort and, to be able to hold it up, with one hand, while I adjusted the tail pin, was a novel experience.
I expected to be pleased with the Bass but even that has been surpassed. Thanks again for all your help and advice, and for providing me with the instrument I have been searching for.

The writers are spot on with everything they say about the construction, sound and the playing ability of the bass. As you know my playing days during the sixties were with a Double Bass and Fender Jazz bass guitar, playing jazz and a mixture of music. Your Hi Tech RLB Bass feels and sounds like the two put together which is an incredible achievement. "Alan, Hi- thought you might like to know that the Bassmaster is working hard. So far it's stood up to cheesy jazz gigs and some sets with an 8 piece swing band. Last weekend used it for some of a gig in a marquee-even though the temperature was all over the place, the tuning didn't slip once. I've been really impressed- and had lots of very positive comments from bothplayers and non-players....I recently took the old double bass for a run of shows in Leamington - lots or arco stuff so back to the pickup/outboard preamp setup.
